Videocon Mobile Tariff Plans Pricing, Packages List, Availability and Cost Per Plan

The popular electronics giant, Videocon, entered the GSM market in India. Recently, Videocon also launched its range of mobile phones. The GSM market in India is becoming highly competitive day-by-day, as too many GSM service providers have entered the segment in a very short time. Videocon, as of now has launched its services only for the prepaid bandwagon, there is no announcement on postpaid services.

Various plans and tariffs for prepaid customers is given below:-

Videocon Base Plan Details

• A new SIM can be bought for Rs. 49/-, in which you’ll get Rs. 5/- talktime and a validity of 90 days
• Local call rates @ Re. 1/- per minute
• STD call rates @ Rs. 1.50/- per minute
• Local sms @ Re. 1/- and National sms @ Rs. 1.50/-

This plan seems to be obsolete as some of the major players are providing 1p/sec call rates, but a new concept here is that first two SMSes of the day will be charged @ Re.1/- but the next 100 SMSes will be free of cost for the whole day

Videocon per Second Details

• First Time Recharge with FRC Rs. 31/- and the customer gets 1p/sec as call rates for local as well as STD
• SMS rates applicable as in the base plan. Note that 100 free SMSes cannot be carried over to the next day

Value Added Services

Value Added Services (VAS) includes the following services:-

• Missed call alert service, which will be free for the first three months from date of activation
• GPRS & WAP services (Prices for these services are not announced yet)

Promotional Offers

Promotional offers are included whenever a new service is introduced to attract the eye of the potential customer. Videocon promotional offer is valid for customers applying for activation before April 25th, 2010. The promotional offer includes:-

• Rs. 75/- talktime
• 100 free national and local SMSes
• Lifetime Validity for per second billing
